Review - Redhook Brewery's Seasonal Nut Brown Ale

"Mellow roasted grain flavors with a slightly sweet finish. Careful blend of six barley malts & two hop varieties" -- Redhook Brewery

Reviewer's Note: This beer was reviewed at the Redhook Brewery with fresh beer from the tap.

The Redhook Nut Brown Ale is a delightful Ale, pouring a light brown. Oddly for a Nut Brown, this beer does not have a very nutty presence. What it does have is a very smooth taste that finishes heavy. Perfect for those chilly early Spring mornings, err, I mean evenings.

The Nut Brown Ale pours a medium brown color with a clear body, topped off by an off-white head. Aroma is, this time, of nutty malts. Initial taste is lightly sweet, with a moderately sweet finish. Oily and creamy on the mouth. MB says "It's delici-oso".

Re-reveiwed on March 9th, 2006 with MB, Left Hand, and Wood.
