Review - Stone Brewing Company's Pale Ale
"Deep amber in color, Stone Pale Ale is robust and full flavored. A delicate hop aroma is complemented by a rich maltiness." -- Stone Brewing Company
Being in the Stone family, one would expect the pale ale to something to remember. The Stone Pale ale pours a dark amber body with a off white fizzy head. The fully diminishing small head sat on top of a murky body. The nose detected a strong malt presence with notes of dark bread and alcohol. The moderately bitter taste diminished into a light bitter taste for a long duration. With soft carbonation, the Stone Pale ale was medium and body and creamy on the palate. This was a good pale ale, not the best (Sierra Nevada Pale Ale). There wasn't a clear hop presence. This beer was reviewed with Amber, Ryan, Ian and Sean
