Boat House Brown

Review - Sebago Brewing Company's Boat House Brown

"Deep amber in color, Stone Pale Ale is robust and full flavored. A delicate hop aroma is complemented by a rich maltiness." -- Stone Brewing Company

The Boat House Brown Ale pours a murky body with the color of roasted chestnuts. The small brown fizzy head sat over a thin body. The nose detected a burnt malt presence that was nutty. It wasn't too powerful, but smelled of dry roasted peanuts. We were surprised by the light sweet taste that moved into a light bitter finish. There was a burnt taste that was left on the palate. Light to medium in body and softly carbonated, the Boat House Brown Ale left the palate feeling creamy. This was a very interesting brown and tasted like peanuts. This light brown was very smooth and we agreed that the creamy presence on the palate would be enjoyable on a hot summer day. This beer was reviewed with Amber, Ryan, Ian and Sean
