Review - Yuengling Brewery's Lord Chesterfield Ale
"A zesty hop aroma and a distinctive robust flavor." -- Yuengling Brewery
Lord Chesterdfield pours a light yellow color with a whirlwind of carbonation that quickly settles out into a clear body. Frothy white head crests with a decent size, but reduces down to almost nothing leaving very little lacing in its path. Nose is subdued with very faint malts, but doesn't provide much in terms of notable aromas. Initial taste is clean and crisp, with a faint lemon bitterness, but mellows out to a light sweet maltiness at the finish that continues to hang around long after the taste. Light bodies with a watery texture, it leaves a slightly dry tinge on the tongue. Clean finish with a pleasant mouth feel, it doesn't have the typical biting after taste of a light lager.
