Peak Organic Amber Ale

Review - Peak Organic Brewing Company's Amber Ale

"A lively ale that starts sweet and has a subtle toasted character. We use an abundance of organic Crystal Malt to give this ale a bright, "ruby" flavor up front. The use of organic Munich Malt imparts a toasty finish." -- Peak Organic Brewing

Pours a ruby amber color with a healthy, wispy off-white head that almost completely dissipates, leaving excellent strands of lacing behind. Very still body with excellent clarity. Aroma is filled with subtle malt notes with creamy and buttery characteristics and some hearty wheat bread with just the faintest coffee notes. Initial taste is full bodied with sweet malt chewiness, which carries through to the finish although some hop bitterness does come through. Medium bodied, it has a creamy texture with some lively carbonation up front.

For a style category that isn\'t always exciting, this one brings some very good flavor profile through, making it one of the better amber ales in recent memory.
