Summer Blonde

Review - River Horse Summer Blonde Ale

"Great summer memories are born out of uncomplicated times. We've made that the basis for our summer blonde recipe and kept this ale pure and simple. Relax and enjoy this all natural, light, golden beauty; a seasonal offering from the River Horse Brewing Company." -- River Horse Brewery

We found it odd that this seasonal summer ale showed up in our sampler 12-pack, but drank and reviewed it nevertheless. This ale pours a medium yellow color with a clear body. A small fizzy white head forms, but it doesn't stick around for long. This beer has very little aroma, although we did detect a slight, light malt scent. Taste was at first acetic and finished both lightly sweet and moderately bitter. This offering finished light and watery, with lively carbonation.
