Review - Rock Bottom Brewery - San Diego's Regatta Red
In search for the Stone Brewery, after gallivanting through the amazing Petco Park (home of the San Diego Padres), we stumbled upon the Rock Bottom Brewery. We were quite pleased with the location and atmosphere; but as you will see in the 8 reviews, the beer could not stand up to a bud light.
The appearance was quite impressive. Great lacing and amazing off while head that was fully diminishing. The Regatta Red was clear and medium dark amber in body. Light malty aroma with noting too special standing out. The initial bitter taste staying the same light bitter finish for an average duration. Light body with watery texture and soft carbonation. It was a weak Killians. Not very tasteful --- Not pleasant and inviting.
At the end of the 8 beer sampler, there wasn't a single beer that Sean wanted to drink a pint of. It was quite depressing
