Review - Shipyard Brewing Company - Pumpkinhead Ale

The ale pours a cloudy dark amber, settling a light amber color with an off-white, medium sized head. No lacing, fully diminishing head. Clear, thin body. Weak aroma, with medicinal smells, most notably solvent and bandaid. Hint of pumpkin. Initial taste is moderately bitter, shifting to a light sweet finish with short duration. Light to medium on the mouth, it leaves us oily with a thin coating and soft carbonation. This one smells much less like pumpkin than the Smutty Pumpkin Ale. Lisa can taste the spices, and this was her personal favorite.
