Review - Sierra Nevada's Celebration Ale
"The long, cold nights of winter are a little brighter with Celebration Ale. Wonderfully robust and rich, Celebration Ale is dry-hopped for a lively, intense aroma. Brewed especially for the holidays, it is perfect for a festive gathering or for a quiet evening at home." --Sierra Nevada
Sierra's Celebration Ale is just that. A celebration of all things that are great about craft beer. From it's bouquet of intense aromas to its diverse taste, this is one ale we will anxiously be awaiting next fall. It pours a medium amber color with a frothy, off-white head. Hazy body, good lacing, and a mostly lasting head. Aromas are of peach, rose, toasted grain malt and perfume hops, with a note of alcohol. Initially sweet and finishing bitter, it hangs around on your palate for just long enough to enjoy it and entice you into another sip. Mouthfeel is light and oily. Carolyn actually wanted to rub it all over her body. Hey, who are we to stop her.
