Review - Stone Brewing Company's Arrogant Bastard Ale
"This is an aggressive beer. You probably won't like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth." -- Stone Brewing Co.
If nothing else, this beer in arrogant in its presentation of the alcohol content. It makes no effort to hide the fact that it is going to hurt you. It pours a ruby red color with a clear body, crowned by a light-brown, creamy head. Good lacing. Aromas are mixed with a light bread, moderate yeast, and light soy sauce notes. Initially, it drew us in with a sweet taste, then wasted no time letting us know who was the boss here with a killer bitter finish. Medium body on the mouth with an oily finish. We like to think we're worthy.
