Review - Woodstock Inn Brewery's Loon Golden Ale
"Loon Golden Ale is becoming one of our staple ales here at Woodstock Inn Brewery. This ale is indicative of a Canadian style golden ale. It is light refreshing ale and maintains a copper hue. This beer is extremely drinkable and is available most of the year. About 4.7% alcohol." -- Woodstock Inn Brewery
This ale pours light yellow at first, then turns darker with a large, off-white head. Good lacing trails a mostly lasting head. Still body. Aroma is malty, with moderate notes of cereal that we identified as frosted flakes. Initial taste is lightly acidic, with a light bitter finish. Light on the mouth, it has an oily texture with soft carbonation and a metallic finish feel.
