Buyer beware!

Last night, we had a review of four beers of different styles to work on cleaning out the queue. Sean picked up a bunch of new beers from Kappys, including one which is the subject of our buyer beware. The Wild Blue, brewed by “Blue Dawg Brewing”, is actually a product of Anheuser-Busch. This also happens to be the only beer brewed under this label and, after having reviewed it, this is a good thing.

We weren’t quite sure what they were shooting for here. It’s a fruit beer, brewed in a lager style, yet the alcohol content is 8%. The “beer” ends up coming off more as a syrupy mess that neither looks nor tastes like a beer. You can read the review here. So buyer beware on two fronts. One, the beer sucks. Two, it’s not brewed by Blue Dawg Brewing, it’s brewed by Anheuser-Busch.

The rest of the reviews went well. We had the Anchor Bock Beer, we re-reviewed the Boulder Beer Never Summer Ale, and we finished with the Flying Dog Kerberos, kindly provided by Steph K at Flying Dog Ales.

Cheers!
