Dogfish Featured in The New Yorker’s Food Issue

Location: Milton, DE

We’re happy (and pretty proud) to let you know that Dogfish Head is prominently featured in the 11/24/08 Food Issue of The New Yorker in a fantastic (okay, maybe we’re a bit biased) article about craft beer. The article, “A Better Brew, The Rise Of Extreme Beer” was written by Burkhard Bilger. Bilger spent quite a bit of time with us (both here at the brewery and on the road) for the piece and we had a lot of fun working with him. In the article, Bilger chronicles our test batch of Sah-tea, goes with us on our 2008 trip to the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado, and examines the role of ‘extreme beers’ in the craft beer world.

Flurry Of November Beer Releases
Location: Milton, DE

Just in time for the turn in the weather… Dogfish starts kicking out our winter beers!

We’ve sold out, but just like some lingering leaves of fall… you may find some Punkin Ale still out there in stores… If you should be so lucky, grab some for your Thanksgiving table (it might make Uncle Crazy seem a bit more bearable!).

The 2008 batch of Olde School Barleywine started trickling out to wholesalers last week… should be hitting your stores soon.

On Monday 11/17/08, we started sending both 120 Minute IPA and WorldWide Stout to our distibutor partners. Find both and enjoy a killer Black-n-Tan.

Chicory Stout is making it’s annual appearance now. You should find it in stores soon (if not already). Remember, this long-time fave went to an annual release and is available now thru January. Enjoy it with a chocolate-y holiday dessert.

And finally, if you are anywhere near (or within driving distance of) our Rehoboth Beach, DE brewpub, come check out our newest Brewpub Exclusive beer, Arms Akimbo. The beer was tapped on Monday 11/17/08 and will probably sell out within two weeks, so bust-a-move.

Again, thanks so much for all your support and hope you can find some of your Dogfish favorites in your local beer bar or store. Happy Holiday Season!
