Portsmouth Brewery and Dogfish Head Beer Dinner
Tonight a group of us will be attending the beer dinner at Portsmouth Brewery with Special guests from Dogfish head. I am really excited about this event.
The tickets only went on sale last Monday and they sold out within a couple of hours.
Here is some information about the event: (from the Portsmouth Brewery website)
Our First Beer Luminaries Dinner, Featuring Sam & Mariah Calagione of Dogfish Head Brewing
Over the years, we’ve made a lot of friends in the beer business, and we’re always happy to hear when dogfish they’re stopping in for a visit. Such was the case a couple of months ago when Sam Calagione, founder and guiding spirit of Dogfish Head Brewing, mentioned to Tod that he and Mariah would be passing through town on their way north. Before we knew it, we were planning a dinner with Tod, Sam , some tasty food & (almost) a dozen excellent beers, including some we’ve not seen in our neck of the woods.
Please join us for for the first of our Beer Luminaries Dinners, an evening of conversation & comestibles, hosted by our own Tod Mott, with special guests Sam & Mariah Calagione of Dogfish Head Brewing, on Tuesday, July 28, from 7 to 9 PM.
The featured Dogfish Head beers that night will be Festina Peche, Indian Brown Ale, Midas Touch, Pale India Ale, Sah’tea & Palo Santo Marron
The featured Portsmouth Brewery beers will be Saison de Printemps, Hefeweizenbock, Vintage Barleywine, Thaizenheimer & Kate the Great Russian Imperial Stout
Five courses will accompany these beers.
After the dinner, Sam will head downstairs to the Jimmy Lapanza Lounge where he’ll mingle, talk beer and sign his book – He Said Beer, She Said Wine… There is no charge for this and entry will be on a first-come first-served basis. Books will be available for purchase if you don’t have a copy already.
It will be interesting to see the food selection, seeing that we purchased out tickets blindly.
Look like a good time, huh? Well I will write more later to tell you about it.
See ya there,
