1st Bull Falls Maifest in Biergarten, Saturday, May 15, starting at 11:00 a.m.

In the growing tradition at the Bull Falls Biergarten of good times, friendship, conversation, music, food, and tasty craft-brewed beers, this year’s Maifest is hoping to add to that tradition with another great festival based on the German tradition of MaiFest (May festival) signaling spring and looking forward to the warm suns of summer. Come on down to the Biergarten “Behind the Brewery” and take it all in.

Music
Enjoy the sounds of the Alps delivered by the Alpensterne. Alpensterne is one of the most unique and musically diversified groups performing today. The group performs some of Germany?s most loved folk songs with Jim Strehlke?s incredible jodeling. Jim mastered the art of European jodeling from one of Germany?s greatest, Sepp Diepolder. Jim has a wonderful singing voice, and plays trumpet, baritone and bass guitar. One of the crowd favorite participation numbers is ?name that tune? performed on the 15 foot Swiss Alphorn. Jim?s humor and banter with the audience is a real crowd pleaser.

Immediately after they are done at 3:00 p.m., Rich Pinski, Wausau’s most versatile musician, will host a “open mike” for any musicians with a sqeeze box or horn to add to the fun and ambience of the occasion.

Food
The 2510 Restaurant will be providing the food for Maifest 2010. There will be plated meals with Knackwurst, German Potato Salad, and Pretzels. Brats and Brat sandwiches will also be available. There will also be added snacks by Downtown Grocery, Kettle Corn, and Jewely by Fashionpark.

Beer
The featured beer will be this year’s Maibock called Edelbock. Edelbock is brewed wth a new German Aroma-Hop, Saphir, is golden in color, has medium body and and low bitterness levels. The beer has wonderful taste and fantastic aroma. All of your other favorite brews will also be available along with soft drinks of your choice

Door Prizes
Bull Falls Brewery and partners helping to put on this first of its kind event in Wausau will offer door prizes in appreciation for your attendance.

It all ends at 5:00 p.m., so come early and enjoy the day.
