New Belgium Summer Bike Giveaway

Have You “Biked Yourself” Today?

New Belgium Brewing’s Daily Summer Bike Giveaway – Has Awarded Free Bikes Every Day Since Memorial Day

Fort Collins, CO – July 2010 – As part of New Belgium Brewing’s “The Beer, The Bike and the Tour de Fat” campaign, the brewery is once again giving away more than 2,500 cruiser bikes this summer. Each day through Labor Day, the Fort Collins maker of Fat Tire Amber Ale is awarding one lucky winner an exclusive New Belgium cruiser bike, previously reserved for employees on their one-year anniversary at the brewery. To participate, visit to http://www.newbelgium.com/bbt or http://www.facebook.com/newbelgium to “bike yourself” and win a shiny new bicycle.

To “bike yourself,” simply upload a picture onto a New Belgium spokesmodel at one of the sites and cross your fingers! The pool of entrants is cleared out each day, so there is a greater chance of winning. In addition to the daily online bike drawing, on-location bike drawings will also take place throughout New Belgium’s areas of distribution. California is the only exception, as it is prohibited by state law. The daily giveaway ends Labor Day.

A new bicycle can change your life – our one-year employees often become daily bike commuters,” said New Belgium spokesperson Bryan Simpson. “This is a great way for us to share our culture and remind people of all ages about the beauty of a bike.”

Another integral part of New Belgium’s bicycle advocacy is Tour de Fat, a thirteen-city bike festival that has raised more than $1 million for bicycle non-profits since its inception in 2000. At each Tour de Fat stop a volunteer will trade his or her car for a bike, offering another way for people to snag a new bike. The 2010 Tour de Fat season kicked off in Chicago this month and may be headed your way; visit http://www.newbelgium.com/tour-de-fat to see car-for-bike swap videos and for more information.

To enter to win a bike, visit http://www.newbelgium.com/bbt daily, follow New Belgium on Facebook, or watch for local promotions.
