Iron Hill to host annual Beer & Bocce Tournament – 8-19 (DE)
BEER & BOCCE TOURNAMENT AT IRON HILL WILMINGTON
WILMINGTON, DE – On Thursday, August 19, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., head brewer Brian Finn of Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant (710 South Madison Street, 302-472-2739) will host a special Beer & Bocce Tournament, pitting teams from Iron Hill and six other local breweries against each other. Each participating brewery will bring a beer for the event, and guests are encouraged to cheer on their favorite brewery’s team from Iron Hill’s celebrated outdoor seating areas.
“Beer and outdoor sports are a natural pair, and we’re thrilled to bring great beer and great fun together with this tournament,” says Finn. “And of course, we’re looking forward to kicking some competing brewers’ butts!”
Guest breweries will include: Dogfish Head; Victory; Yards; Flying Fish; Stewart’s Brewing Company; and Sly Fox. Each brewery will bring one style of their beer and will field a team of brewer/players for the tournament; the winner will receive a championship trophy. Guests will be able to purchase beers from Iron Hill and the visiting breweries on a pay-as-you-go basis.
