Bull Falls Brewery News – Oompah & Jazz Headline 2010 Oktoberfest
20-Piece Blasmusikanten & Sid Kyler Dixieland, a Great Combination at the Bull Falls Biergarten, Saturday September 18, 2010, Noon – 6:00 p.m.
Bringing back the best of this year’s Biergarten Summer Festival Series, the Bull Falls Blasmusikanten playing German, Czech and Austrian brass band music combined with Sid Kyler and his Dixieland Jazz band playing that quintesenntial American jazz music, will be the feature of this year’s Oktoberfest.
It all starts at noon with the Ceremonial Keg Tapping of the Bull Falls Brewery inaugural brew, Marzen Oktoberfest. Attendees line up for the free beer with their glasses until the keg is empty. This immensely popular beer was the first beer brewed at the Bull Falls Brewery in September, 2007. It is patterned after the Oktoberfest beer made by the Augustiner Brewery in Munich Germany.
But what’s an Oktoberfest without good Oktoberfest food paired with a great brew, ummm. The food at the fest this year is being provided by the American Legion Post 10 Auxiliary. The best part is that the proceeds from the sale of the food will go to pay for shipping costs of Christmas gifts to our area service people, a very worthy cause.
The music will alternate between the Bull Falls Brass Band and the Sid Kyler Dixieland Band making for a very enjoyable and entertaining afternoon. There will be fun and games like the Hammerschlagen game. Get in the game and win a free beer compliments of Bull Falls while the proceeds will also go to the Christmas gift fund for our area Armed Forces people
Come for the whole afternoon, come for only a short time, but come nevertheless,whichever works for you. The Munich Oktoberfest opens on this same day and also has a variety of food and music for everyone.
