Judging:

I participated in the first round of the judging (held 2 weeks ago).  There were many delicious home brews entered into the competition (roughly 35 to be exact).   Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the full session, but I participated in judging for the Belgian and French Ale Category (#16).  We had a quick round of 7 beers in this category.  The best beer selected from this group was a 16a – Belgian Wit.

Topsfield Fair home brew competition:

After a long run, it was sad that the Topsfield Fair Homebrew Competition was canceled for 2010. The word is, the North Shore Home brew club (in which I am a member), will be hosting the competition in the spring of 2010.
