Octoberfest – One Day Tap Takeover & Three Casks
British Beer Company

Where: British Beer Company – Framingham
When: Saturday October 23rd from 1-5pm
Who: Casks from Haverhill – Wormtown – Berkshire
What else: Scotch tasting, cheese tasting, German delicacies, live music.

For one day only, the British Beer Company in Framingham will be introducing several hard to find and limited release beers rarely seen in the Metrowest area. Highlights include a collaboration between Tom Welton from Julio’s Liquors in Westboro and De Proef, master brewers of Belgium. These skilled artisans put their minds together to create a Black Saison that can’t be found in any beer bar or pub in or around Boston. Other highlights include Sam Adams Brick Red – the only year-round offering Boston Beer Company brews out of their compact Jamaica Plain brewery for commercial release, yet is rarely seen outside of Downtown Boston.

Duvel Green
Also on draft for the day: Duvel Green, a widely popular bottled beer that’s recently become available in kegs with much fanfare. Rounding out the new drafts: Allagash Black, Saranac IPA, Dogfish Theobroma, Witches Brew from Witchwood and all the regular favorites like Stone and Fuller’s.

In addition to these special drafts the BBC will be tapping three fresh casks. All casks are made in Massachusetts. They include Haverhill American Pale Ale, Wormtown Pumpkin Ale and Berkshire Cabin
Fever. Help save the world by drinking local beer!

And to keep things interesting the BBC will be offering some freebies, because who doesn’t like free stuff. The day will include a Scotch tasting, cheese sampling and some free German foodstuffs for noshing – brats and wurst, danke. The soundtrack for the day will be provided by Boston’s finest live session band the Highland Drifters.

In a landscape of chain restaurants, dive bars, strip malls and car dealerships – the British Beer Company is out to prove that this English style Pub should be everyone’s new local. Even if it’s smack dab on Route 9. Come by on Saturday and let us prove it.
