2nd Annual Bull Falls Brewery – Never Forgotten Honor Flight 5K Run / Walk

March 12, 2011
901 East Thomas Street, Wausau, WI 54403-6450

The Bull Falls Brewery is proud to again to be a major sponsor and host of the Bull Falls Never Forgotten Honor Flight 5K Run/Walk. We first learned about this effort late in 2009 in talking toJim Campbell, co-chair of the Honor Flight organization. A wonderful group of runner “volunteers”, without whom we couldn’t do it, stepped forward and put the plans in place for what we hoped would be an event with up to 100 runners. We were overwhelmed when over 400 runners showed up and were able to turn over in excess of $5000 to the Honor Flight for our vets as a result of this enthusiastic participation.

This year our volunteers have returned, another great event is being planned, and runner registration has already begun. Like last year, it will be run in conjunction with our annual Bock Fest featuring great brews, great food by the American Legion Post 10, and great entertainment by Led West. We’ve added some new twists on the program, hopefully are well prepared, and have added a website with all the event information and runner registration details.

Bull Falls Brewery Bock Fest
This year’s Bull Falls Bock Fest will kick-off at 1:00 p.m. with the traditional tapping of the Bull Falls Bock, the traditional dark bock beer. Bock Fest food will be provided by Bull Falls Brewery partner, Wausau American Legion Post 10, throughout the afternoon. Our staff of workers and volunteers will be assisting attendees who want their beer warmed and caramelized by the fire. As always this is expected to be well-attended snow or shine.

Led West To Headline Bock Fest Entertainment
Entertainment for the Bock Fest held immediately following the Honor Flight Run/Walk will be by Led West a very good and versatile group. Led West set out to bring GREAT live music to Central Wisconsin. They put together a group with diverse sounds and a variety of music from Johnny Cash to Eric Church, AC/DC to Polkatown Sound…talk about variety!! They do it with great vocal harmonies, brass section, a crazy banjo and fiddle, guitars and rhythm. That’s Led West and that’s ENTERTAINMENT!!
