2011 Gardner Ale House summer Solstice

Annual Solstice Party & Beer Breakfast
Saturday, June 18
8 AM till 10 AM

First 75 people in the door receive this year’s commemorative 12-oz Pilsner Glass. It’s pretty!

From Rick:  (Do you need any more reasons why YOU should attend? )

The response to this year’s Solstice Party & Beer Breakfast is vigorous. Why would anybody want to come to such an unusual event? There are many reasons, which begin with drinking beer at 8 in the morning. Most of us only do that once a year, and that’s at the solstice.

Another reason is the special breakfast beer: Espresso Stout and Orange Hef.

Another reason is all the other beers we’ll have on tap.

Another reason is the tremendous breakfast buffet spread that Cindy puts out.

Another reason is the $12 price, which includes your first 12-oz. beer and is a deal of monumental and asteroidal proportions.

Another reason, and here may be the clincher, is the performance of the oft heard about, but rarely observed, Millers River Morris Men. These men dance for beer, pleasure, showing off and, they say, to bring in the spring. Hence their dancing season ends at the solstice, which begins summer, they having done a bang up job of bringing in the spring.

Another reason is that the whole gig is 2 hours – you can still cut your lawn before lunch.

Need more reasons?

  • On top of all that is an array of muffins, Danish, bagels, English muffins and fruit salad.
