For the Love of Beer
It’s interesting. If 10 years ago, while clutching my crystal ball, I saw that everyday in my future I would think about beer, talk about beer and nearly everyday taste beer, I wouldn’t have believed it. Today, glad I can’t see into the future, I am completely immersed in a crazy wonderful beer culture. With this knowledge I am still a bit shocked but absolutely grateful.
This is a culture that takes on all walks of life and is ever eager to recommend a new beer, beer gadget or recipe. It is a liquid world, that swirls with new ideas, incredible ingredients and the motliest crew of drinkers, brewers and writers. It’s an innovative, creative and knowledgeable community dedicated to the highest quality beer possible.
I challenge you to reminisce. Think back to what brought you here. Did a friend urge you to try his or her home-brew? Did you get dragged to a tasting or festival? What was it that enticed you? What is it that keeps you here? However you answered, I bet you are glad you had that first beer experience.
The moment we all took our first sip, went on our first tour, wrote our first blog or began brewing, we became hooked. If you have recently heard the good word about beer, welcome. There is no way out. You are a Beer Geek. The rest of YOUR days will include thoughts about this drink of the gods. Beer facts will spew from your mouth when you least expect it. I hope you embrace this passionate world. You are in the best company.
