Journey to Indy – 2012 Beer Bloggers Conference

#beerbloggers #bbc12

It’s time for the 3rd Annual Beer Bloggers Conference, in the great city of Indianapolis.  The previous conferences were in Boulder, Colorado and Portland, Orgeon.  Both were obvious choices and major bucket list beer destinations.

When the destination for the 3rd conference was selected, Indianapolis wasn’t an obvious choise to us, but its a central location and the beer scene is growing rapidly.  Trying not to be too excited about the conference being in the same time zone, we decided immediately to attend.  Lets Do It!!  (Unfortunately, as time got near, @ThirstyNoBeard @jlj_love and @craftbeered were unable to join us in 2012, but they will be there in 2013!)

Comparing the costs of flying and the troubles of flying with beer, we decided to treck the 16+ hours to the conference.  Yeah, we are a bit crazy, but we decided to make it into an ultimate beer adventure.

Getting to Indy!

Starting from the Boston area, we headed out at 10:00 AM on Monday, morning, arriving in Indianapolis on Thursday after driving ~2000 miles.

We saw and experienced many different things on this great journey.  Our travels brought us through Utica, NY > Rochester, NY > Niagara Falls, NY > Cleveland, OH > Toledo, OH/Lambertville, MI > South Bend, IN > Munster, IN > Chicago, IL > and finally Lafayette IN before we finally made it to Indianapolis.

Here are some pictures from the Journey!

Enjoy,
