Commercial Description:
CUPCAKES AND UNICORNS AND THE MOST EXTREME SWEET 16 – AND CHANUKAH BEER – EVER CREATED!

Jewbelation Sweet 16®. A complex, enormous brown ale with a dynamic labyrinth of multi-layered flavors, Jewbelation Sweet 16® is brewed with 16 malts, 16 hops and soars to 16% alc. Since its inception in 2004, Shmaltz’s Jewbelation® series has been hailed by critics and showered with accolades.

Why I selected the He’Brew Jewbelation:

I chose Jewbelation Sweet 16 because it’s part of the Shmaltz holiday gift pack.  Last year Sean and I decided to pick up the pack and try our luck at tasting all 8 of the tasty brews while each night lighting a candle (which sits on top of the empty beer bottle) and learn a little about Chanukah.  When you are done lighting the candles (that come in the pack as well as a fancy glass) you have yourself a sweet beer bottle Menorah!

Well, we didn’t learn a whole lot but what we took from it was the appreciation for lighting a candle each night of the eight nights and enjoying quite time while thinking back on the year past. This years Anniversary Ale commemorates the 16th year with 16 malts and 16 hops.  It also weighs in at a hefty 16%!  A molasses/chocolate nose hits you but not before you smell the alcohol! The beer is dark chocolate in color with a medium tan head. Although it has a high ABV, they did a great job making it smooth and drinkable. This is a holiday tradition for us!

Cheers to a Happy Chanukah!!!!
