The Pub Song

.

.

.

.

The music flowed from up above the lights

It came to meet the voices half way down

As one they swirled around the crowded room

Becoming one united humming sound

A word or two escaped the friendly rave

To let me hear part of the speakers thought

But quickly left and turned back into song

The looks upon faces of the group

Showed the complex notes their life had written

Their smiles and grins add balance to the sound

That perfect song that’s sung when good folks meet

It will not stop or change fade until

The lights are dimmed to tell them “time to go”
