Commercial Description:
Most Premium Russian Imperial Stout. As black as the uncaring hearts of the czars of Russia, as rich as their estates, as decadent as their palaces, and big enough for their empire, this imperial stout is nothing if not most premium.
Notes: Huge aromas of roast, coffee and dark fruit. Flavors of toasted malts, burnt and caramelized sugars, licorice and sesame. Black as night with a dense mocha head. Remarkably hides the high alcohol content.
Availability: November-January 2013/14 in Oregon, Washington, California, British Columbia, Alaska, Vermont and Chicago.
Why I selected the Most Premium Russian Imperial Stout:
Gigantic Brewing’s Most Premium is fine example of a Russian Imperial Stout. This monster of a beer pours a nice pitch black appearance with a dark tan foamy head. Upon first sip, this behemoth offers a thick and chewy mouthfeel. Then as the beer warms up you get much of the flavors you come to expect with a RIS. Such nice chocolate and coffee flavors up front with some lingering bitterness on the back end. Definitely a beer to have on hand for the pending cold winter nights. And at 10% ABV, Most Premium is sure to keep you warm on the inside.
