Beer Dinner: Five Course Beer Dinner @ Cape Ann Brewing 4/1 (MA)

On April 1st Cape ANn Brewing is given head chef Fernando the chance to spread his wings and put together a fantastic, one night only, beer dinner menu. Five courses will be served starting at 6 pm, each one paired with a beer. To attend you must purchase your spot ahead of time.  A limited number of tickets are available.

Menu:
First Course: Smoked Salmon Tartar served over endive with reconstructed dill aioli garnished with Persian lime organic olive oil and fresh chives. Paired with the Pilot Pilsner.

Second Course: Acorn Squash Bisque served in a roasted acorn squash topped with crème fraîche, organic Tuscan herb infused EVOO and house made garlicky crostini. Paired with the Navigator Dopple Bock.

Third Course: Golden Beets and Watercress Salad tossed in cranberry – pear white balsamic vinaigrette, garnished with pomegranate seeds and pita bread. Paired with the Scottish Ale.

Fourth Course: Boneless Short Rib served over polenta cake, sautéed Moroccan baby carrots finished with a demi-glace, garnished with organic butter olive oil (dairy free) and edible flowers. Paired with the Dead Eye Double-IPA.

Dessert: Rachael’s Passion Fruit Mousse served in a chocolate cup with mint whipped cream, fresh berries and chocolate Imperial Stout reduction garnish. Paired with the Blackburn Imperial Stout.

Meet the Chef – Fernando DeSouza

Fernando has been with the brewery almost two years now. He is originally from Brazil and settled in Gloucester because of its large Portuguese speaking population. He has been with his wife Rachel, whose signature dessert is course five, for more than ten years.
