Black Friday: Goose Island Releases Bourbon County Brand Exclusives at Foundry on Elm

Davis Square watering hole taps the kegs to highly anticipated collection of rare beers for the first time

WHAT:On Black Friday, Foundry on Elm will team up with Goose Island Brewery (Chicago, IL) for one of the most anticipated beer collection releases of the year. Hosted by select venues throughout the country, Goose Island will unveil sips from their exclusive Bourbon County Brand portfolio including their signature annual batches, limited releases, and rare new variants.

Foundry on Elm’s beer czar, Geoff Thompson, will tap the keg of Goose Island’s first ever Regal Rye Bourbon County Brand Stout release, aged in Heaven Hill and Jim Beam rye barrels with single strength blackberry juice, Luxardo candied cherries and a touch of sea salt. Additionally on draught will be the 2013 Bourbon County Barleywine, a limited release that was aged in third-use barrels with flavors of oak and charcoal, hints of tobacco and vanilla, and that signature bourbon heat. Lastly, Thompson will have limited amounts of 2015 Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout by the bottle, from Goose Island’s yearly collaboration with Intelligentsia Coffee.
