Why I selected Great Raft Awkward Uncle:

Great Raft is one of the best breweries in the state of Louisiana, and Awkward Uncle is its winter warmer. The brewery is known for its lagers and hoppy beers, so this is a change of pace for them. My personal taste does not generally lean toward winter warmer types – I don’t like spiced beers. But, the boozy cherry flavor of Awkward Uncle has a nice tartness and the ginger and cinnamon are well balanced with the Belgian yeast esters. And I dig it.
