7th Annual Portsmouth Beer Week
We are really excited that the 7th Annual Portsmouth Beer Week is only a week a away. Portsmouth Beer Week is a 10 day celebration of beer, cider and local spirits, throughout the Portsmouth New Hampshire community.
Features events:
2015 NH Brewery Freshman Orientation Beer Sampling, featuring the new NH breweries opened in 2015. Saturday, February 20th.
Beer Week kicks-off on Saturday February 20th with the 1st Annual NH Brewery Freshman Orientation Beer Tasting event. Inspired by Portland (Maine) Beer Week, Freshman Orientation is a great opportunity to meet the new New Hampshire breweries that opened in 2015. Similar to speed dating, but with beer, Freshman Orientation is a great change to meet the new breweries and sample their beer. We hope to see you there! TICKET LINK
Fourth Annual IPA Night at the Blue Mermaid. Tuesday, February 23rd. Starting at 6:00 PM.
IT’sssssss Back! NEW lcoation, but the same deal — IPA night at the Blue Mermaid. IPA’s are the hottest style and this has been one of the most popular nights of Portsmouth Beer Week.
1st Annual Pond Hockey Invitational at Strawbery Bank. Wednesday, February 24th. Brewery social starting @ 5:00 PM.
Amazingly, there are 1.5 breweries opening daily around the country. The number of breweries opening has not slowed down in recent years and New Hampshire was no different — with over 10 breweries opening in 2015. Have you had a chance to meet them? If not, here is your chance. Freshman Orientation is similar to speed dating with breweries. This event will give you a chance to meet and sample beers from the 2015 brewing class for New Hampshire.
Brew Hampshire Movie Screening at 3S Artspace. Thursday, February 25th. Starting at 6:00 PM.
For the 7th year in a row, we will be featuring a “beer inspiration” movie. This year, we have selected “Brew Hampshire” produced by Meagan Frappiea & Bryant Naro.
Brew Hampshire is a feature length documentary about the craft brew culture in New Hampshire, and sets out to discover how New Hampshire’s “Live Free or Die” attitude attracts brewers with an entrepreneurial and artistic spirit. TICKET LINK
