Massachusetts Brewers Present The UltiMAte Beer Dinner‏
Celebrating Bay State beer with limited edition beers and local brewers

Boston, MA (January 29, 2009) – Craft brewers from around the state will gather on February 28th to provide Massachusetts beer lovers with the chance of a lifetime. The UltiMAte Beer Dinner, presented by the Massachusetts Brewers Guild, will offer attendees the opportunity to enjoy an array of their favorite Massachusetts-brewed beers while mingling with brewery owners and brewmasters. The event, which will be held at the Exchange Conference Center on Boston’s historic waterfront, will be the ultimate beer experience for those interested in learning about the thriving culture of beer in Massachusetts, and for those thirsty for great, local beer!

The UltiMAte Beer Dinner will begin with a beer and hors d’oeuvre reception featuring limited release beers that are not available throughout the state, including special one-off beers brewed exclusively for this event (a beer list is below). Brewery owners and brewmasters will sample their world-class beers, encouraging conversation about the beer and answering questions about brewing in the Bay State.

Renowned for fresh, local fare, chefs from the Exchange Conference Center collaborated with the brewers to create a menu that demonstrates how the diverse flavors of beer work together with food to enhance one another. Following the reception guests will be seated alongside brewers for a stunning 4-course meal, thoughtfully prepared using local ingredients. Each course will be paired with a selection of Massachusetts-brewed beers that complement each dish.

“Massachusetts is home to some of the nation’s most celebrated craft breweries,” says Dan Kenary, president of the Massachusetts Brewers Guild and co-founder of the Harpoon Brewery. “We decided to jointly celebrate our community by hosting the UltiMAte Beer Dinner. The UltiMAte Beer Dinner will bring together great food with special beers, brewery owners, and beer lovers from all across Massachusetts in a beautiful setting on Boston Harbor.”

The UltiMAte Beer Dinner will begin at 7:00 pm on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the Exchange Conference Center, located at 212 Northern Avenue, Boston. The cost is $125 per person, including tax & gratuity. Reservations can be made on the Massachusetts Brewers Guild website at www.massbrewersguild.org.
