BEER Event: Striped Bass Fest at Cambridge Brewing Compay

Cambridge Brewing Company’s 9th Annual STRIPED BASS FEST
Saturday August 1st, 2009 5pm

Join CBC Saturday August 1st for their 9th Annual Striped Bass Fest. They’ll fire up a giant grill on their patio starting at 5pm for a variety of Executive Chef David Drew’s Bass dishes and with local farm purveyors in full swing, it’s a great time of year for fresh, local food. Beer you ask? Why not! They are pairing each dish with one of Will Meyer’s handcrafted brews.

Striped Bass Fest 09 Menu Announced…


New England Bouillabaisse – Massachusetts Striper ,Littlenecks, Maine Mussels, Shrimp Lobster Broth, Saffron Rouille… paired with a flute glass of Beire de Mel.

Striped Bass Ceviche – Mango, Chili, Lime, Watercress, Black Pepper Cracker paired with a flute glass of OM.

Mexican Spice Rubbed Striper Skewer Tomato Rice, Habenero Tarter Sauce… paired with a wine stem of Reckoning.

Striped Bass Escabeche Heirloom Tomatoes, Purslane, Arugula, Fried Egg Bread… paired with a pint glass of Pale Ale.

Main Courses

Grilled Garlic Marinated Striper – Corn on the Cob, Collard Greens, Mango Salsa and Crostini… paired with a pilsner of Hefewiezen.

Olive Encrusted Striped Bass Filet Zucchini Hash Browns, Grilled Tomato Romesco… paired with a tulip glass of Belgian I.P.A.

Bacon Wrapped Striped Bass – Grilled Romaine, Green Beans, Russian Dressing… paired with a pilsner glass of Skibsol.

Striper Red Curry – Coconut Rice, Lemongrass, Thai Chili, Eggplant, Sno Peas… paired with a flute glass of Tiger Bite.

Phil “Brewdaddy” Bannatyne,  founder and owner, will don an apron and man the grill and cook up his famous Garlicky Bass Special.

It’s just a good ol’ Summertime fun get together! Grillin’, laughin’ and Beer…… you can’t go wrong!
