Ale House Diner Opens for One Day Only!

We are not a breakfast joint. From my earliest days planning this gig, it was always very clear to me that we would not do breakfast. A proper publican cannot cognize anything before noon, so 11:30 AM was pushing it and the Sunday brunch only got through because of the mimosa. And most of you know we broke our rule this summer and last summer too, by offering breakfast up at the golf course. Again, this was not in line with what I had conceived but it seemed like a good time, so we tried it out.

With preamble now out of the way, I would like to announce our once per year offering we are calling Ale House Diner. The diner is open New Year’s day from 9 AM till Noon. We will have the standard diner offerings of toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles, hash browns, omelettes, hash, breakfast sandwiches and steak and eggs and yes, even biscuits and gravy.

AND Coffee, espresso, cappucino, latte or mimosa is included!!!

We are doing this because it is New Year’s day and it just seemed it needed something; and to do a brunch was just too ‘Sunday’ for us, and, we figured, for you too. So breakfast it is, you don’t even have to get up early, we’re serving till noon. Our regular Saturday menu will also be available starting 11:30 AM, a proper time for a tavern to open.

New Year’s Eve Dinner Deal $22

We’ve decided to give away the store – again. We fought, discussed, cried, even arm-wrestled to see what kinds of offerings we would have for New Year’s eve. The ideas were bountiful, but, in the end, we decided to present to you a $22 three-course meal, that should just about put us out of business, unless you guys jam the place, then we will make it up on volume!

• New Year’s Day: A La Carte Breakfast, 9 – Noon, The Ale House Diner Debut! (Continues with Lunch at 11:30 AM and Dinner at 5 PM.)
