Event Recap: 2012 Yankee Homecoming Brewfest (MA)

We are celebrating the 55th annual Yankee Homecoming, and the brewfest has come and gone. The tent in the waterfront parking lot has been removed, the porta potties have been picked up and the celebration of craft beer has moved on – to another bat place, at another bat time.
This years brewfest was a major success, led by brewfest chair Libby McNeil and her tireless crew of committee members and volunteers. Tip of the cap to the hosts and breweries who poured their tasty nectar of the gods.
Having attend the 2010 (recap) and 2011 (recap) brewfest, I made sure not to miss this event. The weather conditions were sub-optimal (rainy), but the event featured over thirty beers from over a dozen local and regional breweries…making the weather unimportant!

- Sierra Nevada (California)
- Goose Island (Illinois)
- Crispin Cider (Minnesota)
Many breweries poured their flagship beers and tasty summer brews which made the crowds super happy. This fest sells out days and in advance and 2012 was no different. Be sure to get your tickets early for next year!
