@relicbrewing  @beersnobwrites

To celebrate the Holiday Season, we have teamed up with beer bloggers and craft beer enthusiasts around the country to host the fifth annual beer advent calendar. This is the season of sharing and we intend to share our love of beer with you.

During the 31 days of December, we will be sharing our favorite regional/winter seasonals/holiday beers with the help from our fellow beer enthusiasts. We hope that you tune in every day, to hear our stories and share our holiday cheer.

I’d pair this with German chocolate cake.

beer-snob-barnAbout The Beer Snob:

I write the “Beer Snob” column in the Waterbury (Conn.) Republican-American, and have done so since 2005. I also lead beer-tasting presentations, write humor pieces, play in a band, and teach.

My book, “Connecticut Beer” (The History Press) was published in April 2015.

My background is in journalism: I’ve worked as a reporter for two newspapers and written several freelance articles for magazines. I earned a BA in English from Gettysburg College and an MS from the Columbia School of Journalism.

Since starting my Beer Snob column, I have appeared on television: “Better Connecticut” (WFSB, Channel 3) with host Scot Haney, and on radio: National Public Radio’s “The Faith Middleton Show,” “Where We Live” with John Dankosky, “The Colin McEnroe Show,” and WATR 1320-AM’s “Tom Chute and You.” He has been profiled by Ken Tuccio on the podcast “Welcome to Connecticut.”
