Commercial Description:
Hearty and full-bodied this is a “Big” bier. Brewed in the Reinheitsgebot tradition, our Bock comes by its mahogany hue naturally. You can expect this bier to be complex and smooth with deep chocolate and coffee undertones, complementing the rich bouquet. No matter if you choose to enjoy our bock before, during or after dinner, remember to serve at about 48°F. Because like many good things in life…the warmer the bock is, the sweeter it gets.
Why I selected Uff-Da Bock:
Happy Festivus! It’s that time of year again. Time to take out the aluminum pole and prepare to air your grievances. I got mine setup tonight and am settling down with my holiday beer: New Glarus Uff-da Bock. Being a resident of Iowa, you’re probably wondering how I was able to get my hands on some beer from Wisconsin. Easy, my company has a branch in Wisconsin and some coworkers that travel between each location that owe me favors. Normally I pair beer with additional beer, but this year I grabbed a couple oreos instead. Gotta watch the figure. If you love chocolate and coffee, make a friend in WI and get your hands on some Uff-da, because it was made for you. If I worked in marketing for NG, I’d use “500 years of the Reinheitsgebot have led to this, the perfect Bock” as the slogan for this beer as it is just that: Perfection. As you can tell from the picture, I have some reading to do, so I’ll keep this review short and end with thanking our hosts for extending the invitation to do this once again. To you and yours, Merry Christmas!
